Founded by Tokyo designers, Ryusuke Kase and Hirohide Takei in 2015. They graduated from University of the Arts London. ESSAY is not only the brand name but also the brand philosophy to guide the designs. It specialises in modifying and transforming the traditional Japanese clothing like Hakama pants and kimono into its clothing designs. Each item is injected with vivid details by the use of tailored fabrics accessories.
