BIBLIOTHERK

BIBLIOTHERK is a Japanese fashion label founded in 2022 by designer Ryunosuke Hata. The brand name combines「Bibliothek」,the German word for「library」with the initial 「R」from the designer’s name, reflecting his experience of discovering fashion and clothing culture while spending time in libraries during his years studying in Germany.

Deeply influenced by traditional German military and workwear, as well as vintage menswear, BIBLIOTHERK centers around the idea of a “neutral and languid human image.” Functional garment details are reinterpreted through a softer and quieter lens, resulting in relaxed, genderless silhouettes that balance classic menswear structure with subtle shifts in proportion and fabric expression.

BIBLIOTHERK preserves traces of traditional workwear and military construction while refining classic menswear details, fabric textures, and relaxed silhouettes into a quieter and more restrained expression — creating a calm, time-worn urban sensibility.
